A strong aviculture community is built by people who are willing to share what they have learned. PASA member Yolandi van den Berg of Blissful Wings is one of those people.
In her articles for Avizandum, Yolandi takes readers into the practical and sometimes difficult side of breeding birds. She writes from her own experience, asking the questions many breeders face: What can an egg tell us? When should we step in? And how might events before a chick hatches affect the care it needs later?
Sharing knowledge like this helps fellow breeders think more carefully, recognise problems earlier and keep the welfare of their birds at the centre of their decisions. It also gives others the confidence to talk openly about what they have learned, including the times things did not go according to plan.
